Pliage is a zellige panel composed in a rhythmic succession of fold terracotta tiles revealed by the covering of genuine moon golf leaf — a surface that transforms itself over time, resembling flow and continuity.
Through the metaphor of alchemy as a framework for change, Samir Mazer creates a composition that recalls the energy of life. A veil of moon gold leaf covers the surface, generates iridescent effects.
A new fabric, a new veil is born — moving, reflecting, carrying within it the hybridity and quiet transformation that define this series.
