Le Canalet Ville de Toulouse

At the foot of the Dôme de la Grave — Toulouse’s most emblematic monument — the urban planning practice D’une Ville à l’Autre commissioned Samir Mazer to integrate one of his creations into a sensitive landscaped environment.

The motif unfolds across an irrigation canal stretching nearly 100 metres, where gold inserts punctuate the composition to evoke the pull and shimmer of moving water. An invitation to contemplation: zellige brought to the ground, in dialogue with sky, stone, and the slow current of the Canal de Brienne.
