With Mandil, Samir Mazer inaugurated the research culminating in the series « Froisser les Murs » (Crumpling the Walls), where clay balances between mineral rigidity and apparent suppleness.
A deconstructed work that reveals the sensorial and spiritual life within the material with his own hands.

Ceramics unfold like woven veils, embroidered with light and animated by breath where light and reflections are unfolded in a living memory way. Each chiseled tile is a thread, each module a stitch, tracing the boundary between finite and infinite, until walls fold like fabric, like flesh in motion evoking a sacred calligraphy that transforms into abstract writing.
